my friend jake asked me to make a 'mixtape' aka, playlist for him consisting of 12 songs

and to explain the reason why i chose each song, so i decided to post it here with youtube links.

because i believe everyone should hear this song. it's how God feels about you whether or not you believe in Him.

2. by God -disciple

the lyrics are really very convicting. look them up & listen if you don't believe me.

3. the last night -skillet

this song reminds that you're never alone, it's gotten me through some very tough times.

4. whispers in the dark -skillet

this song saved my life once and it's really amazingly well done =) oh snap that's 2 reasons :P

5. imperfection -skillet

anyone who has ever disliked themselves for any reason at all needs to hear this song.

6. look away -thousand foot krutch

umm i guess the reasoning for this one is the same as the above song really.. xD

7. falling star -disciple

this is my favorite disciple song...well.. up until they released their latest album.

it has over 2,000 plays on my itunes.

8. never surrender -skillet

it's a perfect reminder to... never surrender.

9. fading -decyfer down

there's always hope. no matter what the situation is.

10. no longer -decyfer down

your past, things you've done/thought/said/felt...none of that owns you. no longer.

11. the end of the beginning -david phelps

it's one of the best songs on this topic i've ever encountered & i've heard A LOT of music :P

12. one more time -disciple

you really need to watch the vid for this one...yes, it's old, but this song was written when the lead singer

of disciple loved a female who left him & cheated on him and just left him feeling worthless, and how he found

reason to live, found hope, found a reason to sing one more time.
